And I remembered to buy some beans this morning. Fine chopped streaky bacon fried beans. Oh my f-ing god, they are good.
Items fried,
eggs, bacon loin steaks, mushrooms, tomatoes, lorne sausages , Lincolnshire sausages, bacon fried beans and bread.
Items not fried,
erm...... nope.

I fry mushrooms face down then turn them over.
The tomatoes I cut in half, turn over, pierce the bottom a few times, turn back over and then add a few pinches of sugar to the open face while a little oil is heating up, them place the sugared face down for three/four minutes . This way you get a nice caramelised tomato. Then turn over and cook for the same again with the face up.

Mushrooms: medium-low heat with lots of butter. =)

I’ll have to try that with the tomatoes.

It’s really good. I try and do the tomatoes early on, then do the mushrooms, because the tomatoes stay lava hot for ages and the mushrooms take very little time. Then I do the bacon fried beans in the same pan afterwards getting up the sweetness of the tomatoes and the j uices of the mushrooms.

Is there anything better than big breakfast (or big breakfast for dinner)?

Nope.
Maybe a christmas dinner.
I don’t know what I’ll do different this year.
Last year rather than just roasting the carrots I par boiled them in orange uice then roasted them, turned out lovely.

I went with ham and turkey, the ham brings out the flavour of the turkey, pigs in blankets, two types of chipolatas (one plum and sloe gin, the other plain) , streaky bacon braided into a lattice to cover the turkey to stop it burning the skin, sage and onion stuffing balls, orange boiled and roasted carrots, carrot and swede mash, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, honey basted roast parsnips, Yorkshire pudding, cranberry sauce (but I added a handful of blueberries, heated and then gently mashed a little to break them open ).
